Groups who are fans of the detective novelist, Agatha Christie, will be offered a range of events in her home county of Devon this September, during the English Riviera’s annual Agatha Christie Festival.

The Festival, which will take place in Torquay, Paignton and Brixham, will feature numerous ‘Christie-themed’ events. These include guided walks of the ‘Christie Mile’ in Torquay, available to pre-booked groups, which look at sites that are associated with the author or which feature in her works, such as the town’s Imperial and Grand hotels.

For followers of her theatrical works, Torquay’s Princess Theatre will be running her detective-play, ‘And Then There Were None’, throughout the week. The towns will also come alive with various 1930s-themed tea-dances and an elegant, inter-war years themed ball at the Grand Hotel in Torquay.

The Agatha Christie Festival will take place from the 15th to 20th September at various locations and venues in Torquay, Paignton and Brixham. Group discounts are available on several of the events, including the guided walks and tea-dances. For more information telephone 0870 707 0010
