Barton Fayre

A parade at last year’s Barton Fayre
A parade at last year’s Barton Fayre

First established in the 13th century, your group will be able to enjoy Gloucester’s Barton Fayre again this September, which will this year feature several VIP guests including Richard O’Brien, creator of the Rocky Horror Show.

Featuring a ‘Mock Mayor’, traditionally the district’s most foolish man, the event has been focused on ale for centuries and this year will offer you the chance to enjoy a range of traditional beers at its Real Ale Bar. There will also be music by a jazz band, performances by a gospel choir and the Salvation Army Band and a magic show by an Indian fakir. Your group can also take part in the Fayre’s annual sponsored walk or watch the ‘Wild West Shootout’ at the nearby Blenheim Inn.

The Barton Fayre will take place in Gloucester on 6th September. All of the events are free to attend. For more information telephone 01452 396575.
