For Your Eyes Only

The Imperial War Museum London
The Imperial War Museum London

From April, groups will be able to view an exhibition honouring the centenary of Ian Fleming’s birth, the author who created James Bond.

It will explore the author’s early life, wartime career and his work as a journalist before examining how his ideas have generated an entire industry, including films and merchandise. The exhibition will also show how Fleming’s past experiences helped to shape the plots in the Bond novels and how real people inspired famous characters such as Goldfinger.

On display will be annotated Bond manuscripts and movie memorabilia such as the blood splattered shirt worn by Daniel Craig in Casino Royale.

‘For Your Eyes Only’ runs from 17th April to 1st March 2009 at the Imperial War Museum London. Entry to the exhibition will be discounted for groups of 10 or more. For more information telephone 020 7416 5439
