Keswick Mountain Festival
For the second year running, groups will be able to attend the Keswick Mountain Festival, an event offering activities for both outdoor enthusiasts and novices alike.
New elements at the festival in May will include a Bike Village at Rawnsley Hall, which will feature displays by bicycle stunt riders, and an Activity Base at Derwentwater, where visitors will be able to take part in activities such as climbing, zip wiring and raft racing.
Groups will also be able to attend a series of talks at the Theatre by the Lake, where famous mountaineers will be sharing climbing tales, as well as undergo a series of special interest walks, which will give you a chance to try your hand at activities such as dry stone walling or landscape photography. With the aid of expert guides, groups can also re-trace the footsteps of Arthur Wainwright, who is best known for his pictorial walking guides to the Lake District.
