One of the dragon’s from last year’s Chinese New Year celebrations

In February, London’s Chinese New Year celebrations will usher in the ‘year of the rat’ at various locations throughout the capital.

Groups will be able to join the festivities in Trafalgar Square, which will feature live performances of Chinese music and dancing, Leicester Square, which will also be the setting for a Chinese fireworks display and, in China Town, near Soho, Chinese street markets and further live entertainment can be enjoyed.

The celebrations will also see a traditional Chinese parade, featuring dragon dancers and live music, proceed from the Strand to Rupert Street in Westminster via Trafalgar Square.
