Nick Blofeld, who was appointed acting Managing Director at Surrey-based Epsom Downs Racecourse in December, has now taken up the position on a permanent basis.

Previously, he worked as Commercial Director at the Racecourse for three years. He hopes that the opening of its new Grandstand in spring 2009 will encourage more groups to the venue.
