Wigan-based tour operator Shearings Holidays has announced changes to its board of directors.

Alan MacLean, previously a director at Saga Holidays, has been given the role of Commercial Director. This will involve overseeing the sales and marketing and product departments, now merged under one team.

Melvyn Morley, previously Product Director, will now begin his new role as Director of Business Analysis.

Hotels and transport operations will be overseen by Vince Flower, formerly Operations Director of Hotels, in his new role as Chief Operating Officer.

The aim is to develop the company’s hotels division, including sales in the groups market.
