Doing his bit for the Portsmouth community
Trevor Sapey has been appointed Community Engagement Officer for The Mary Rose Trust, in Portsmouth.
He previously worked as Visitor Services Manager for the Trust, in which he pioneered an outreach programme visiting local groups unable to see the Mary Rose in person. Due to the positive response to these visits, the Trust decided to extend the scope and scale of this work.
In his new role, Sapey will continue to visit groups at their own venues, where he will perform illustrated talks and give them the chance to handle real and replica artefacts from the warship.
