Giulio Libutti

The Italian cruise line MSC Cruises has announced that Giulio Libutti will take over from Claudia Baino as its Managing Director from July this year.

Libutti comes to the role from the Italian airline, Alitalia, where he was Senior Vice-President for North America and Mexico.

He is expected to use his experience of the airline industry to help create a new range of international cruises, offering groups a wider range of cruise options involving flights to and from ports.

Libutti is also looking to increase the number of cruises that the company offers from Britain.
