A group of tourism delegates from Germany were impressed by a recent visit to Medway as part of the VPR’s (Verband der Paketer Reisen) annual general conference, Medway Council has announced.

Each year, the coach tour operators’ organisation selects one of two countries to host the conference and in partnership with Medway Council and investors, Visit Kent beat off competition from Egypt to host this year’s event, which took place across the county.

As part of the activities, visits to some of Kent’s top tourist spots – such as Canterbury, Leeds Castle and Medway – were included.
