Going ‘green’ with Eavesway
Lancashire-based coach company, Eavesway Travel, has announced that it will be taking ownership of eight new Van Hool TD921 Altano coaches in March.
The 55-seater double-decker vehicles will feature on-board toilets, extensive legroom at all seats and will also have the ability to carry wheelchair-bound passengers. In addition, the coaches will feature an information system with three LCD monitors, which will allow the driver to speak to the passengers over the PA system whilst appearing on the monitors, and display a route map showing the progress made and the expected time of arrival at the destination.
The coaches will be powered by low-emission engines and their ‘green’ credentials will be promoted on a new exterior livery. The new additions will increase the company’s fleet size to 26 vehicles.
