Two months after Fareham-based coach operator Hellyers called in administrators, fellow coach company Lucketts Travel, also based in Fareham, has taken over its remaining trips and its Travel Shop in Gosport.

Following negotiations, Lucketts Travel agreed to take on any of Hellyers remaining trips that its customers had paid money for and so therefore honouring their deposits.

Additionally, the company decided to take over the Hellyer Travel Shop at Gosport Bus Station and employ a number of Hellyers staff who had previously worked in the shop.

Now a Lucketts Travel Shop, it has re-opened its doors to past and potential customers offering both day trips and longer coach holidays.

Lucketts has also employed coach drivers who used to work for Hellyers.
