South Yorkshire-based Leger Holidays, one of the UK’s largest providers of European coach holidays, has announced the acquisition of European coach operator, Consort Travel, also based in South Yorkshire, for an undisclosed sum.

Leger Holidays has revealed that operations will continue under the Consort Travel brand, which sells a range of 10 to 13-day coach tours through national newspaper adverts. The company specialises in holidays to Croatia and Italy and currently carries more than 6,000 customers annually.

Leger Holidays, meanwhile, carries 75,000 holidaymakers each year.

Both companies offer free places for groups.
