Instructions for coach drivers collecting groups from Heathrow Airport’s new BAA Terminal 5 have now been proposed.

The new terminal, which is set to open next month, will have a Forward Coach Park (T5 FCP), situated near to the new T5 hotel, with the facility to hold up to 18 coaches. All coaches despatched to the terminal will adhere to the following procedure.

Firstly, coaches need to report to the current Control Office at the West Ramp Coach Park (WRCP), located off the A4 at the Airport West Entrance. Here they will be issued with a permit and sent to the T5 FCP. Entry and exit to the T5 FCP will be controlled by a barrier.

Once inside, coach drivers must not move to the terminal forecourt to collect passengers until they are advised to do so. They will be instructed via a tannoy announcement in the drivers’ rest room.
