Plaxton set to unveil new flagship coach in November
Scarborough-based coach manufacturer, Plaxton, has announced there will be a new addition to its coach range in 2009.
The flagship model, which as yet is un-named, will be unveiled at the Euro Bus Expo trade show at Birmingham’s NEC, in November.
According to Plaxton, the new coach model will be used for corporate charters and high-quality tours where customers expect some degree of exclusivity.
It is the latest stage in an ongoing product development programme at Plaxton, which in the last 18 months, has seen an expansion of its coach range to include high-capacity 15-metre Panthers, Euro 4 models and the new Volvo B9R.
Plaxton hopes to begin production on the new model towards the end of the year, making the vehicle available for purchase by coach operators in early 2009.
