The Northern Territory’s newest tourist attraction, Crocosaurus Cove, has opened in Darwin, Australia after 18 months of construction work.

Its reptile house is believed to be the largest display of Australian reptiles in the world with 52 displays containing more than 70 different species, including frogs, skinks and geckos.

The venue’s daily events are expected to be popular with visitors, especially feeding times when you will get to see scuba divers feeding metre-long barramundi and other fish species in its 200,000-litre aquarium.

Over the coming weeks, this exhibit will also host freshwater crocodiles and turtles.

A photographer is also on site to take photographs of visitors with some of the animals, including baby crocodiles, albino olive pythons and blue tongue lizards. For a fee, these can then be made into postcards or A3-sized digital photographs for you to collect when you leave.
