Crossing the globe by rail and sea
The American cuise-line, Peter Deilmann Cruises, and the York-based international rail tour operator, Great Rail Journeys, have come together to produce a range of new European river cruise holidays featuring travel to and from the vessel by European luxury trains for 2009.
These new trips include a 10-day voyage down the Danube aboard one of Deilmann’s fleet of luxury river boats with travel to the boarding point in Cologne by train from London’s St Pancras International and a return journey from Nuremberg. There is also an eight-day cruise on the Rhone through Burgundy with rail travel from St Pancras International to Chalon-sur-Saone returning from Avignon.
Details of all the new ‘rail and ship’ holidays can be found in Deilmann’s ‘2009 Preview Brochure’.
