Gagosian gallery goes Greek

The world-renowned Gagosian Gallery has announced the inauguration of a new venue in the Greek capital Athens.

Opened in 1979 in New York by Larry Gagosian, the gallery is a showcase for contemporary art from the Gagosian collection and a platform for information about exhibitions on view in the Gagosian Gallery’s other locations around the world.

With the addition of the Athens space, the Gagosian now has nine locations worldwide, including New York, Beverly Hills, London, Rome and Hong Kong.

With a floor space of 90 square metres, the Athens gallery is in the very centre of the city, just steps away from Syntagma Square and the Greek Parliament.

Group visits to the gallery can be arranged by appointment.
