Going Thai in Tenerife
Siam Park, a Thai-themed water park in Tenerife featuring 185,000 square metres of water rides, 25 Thai-inspired buildings and an artificial beach, will open in the summer.
The 40 million pound development will include the ‘Tower of Power’ ride featuring a 28-metre drop into a tank surrounded by alligators, ‘The Volcano’ ride, a dark ride with a laser show, a one-kilometre long ‘Sawasdee River’ rapids ride, believed to be the longest in the world, and the Wave Palace, which is a pool that creates three-metre high waves for surfing.
The site will also contain five bars and restaurants including a Tea House, Thai Restaurant and a Thai floating market over a pool of Koi carp.
Group rates are still to be confirmed.
