Tokyo to open circus theatre

Cirque du Soleil, the world-renowned performance troupe, opens a new permanent theatre at the Tokyo Disney Resort, in Japan, on 1st October. The opening will form part of the Resort’s 25th anniversary celebrations.

The 2,000-seat theatre has been designed to resemble a circus tent and, on opening, will have taken three years to reach completion.

Audiences visiting the venue will be treated to a Cirque du Soleil performance, called ZED, which has been developed exclusively for the theatre. The show will follow a central character, Zed, as he aims to bring together two opposing worlds – heaven and earth.

Discounted theatre tickets are available for groups of 15 or more.
