Visitors at this year’s show

This year’s Academic Venue Show, at the Business Design Centre in London, has been declared a resounding success by organisers Venuemasters, the academic venue marketing consortium. The event was billed as a ‘happy exeprience’ and attracted over 350 visitors, with 12% of these group travel organisers.

Fifty member venues were exhibiting from over 30 locations across the UK, providing plenty of accommodation ideas for visiting GTOs.

Three seminars were held throughout the day, all well attended, and visitors were also entertained by balloon modellers and comedy characters.

Winner of the best stand at this year’s event was Royal Holloway, University of London, which based the theme of their stand on fortune telling.
