The seaside resort of Morecambe, on Lancashire’s eastern coast, has seen the impressive Midland Hotel restored to its 1930s grandeur.

The 44-bedroom hotel was designed and built in the early 1930s in a streamlined modern style that attracted celebrities such as Coco Chanel, Wallace Simpson and Lawrence Olivier to the venue.

The hotel’s renovation has seen the addition of a range of suites, many with private balconies, as well as a new spa, restaurant and bar that all retain original art deco features that will give your group a taste of what the hotel was like in its glamourous heyday.

To learn more about the Midland Hotel, we will be speaking to Su Stringfellow in the coming weeks, the architect behind the restoration. You will be able to read what she has to say on the ‘An Interview With…’ page of our website.
