An odd London
A Ripley’s Believe It or Not! museum, or ‘odditorium’, will open at London’s Trocadero, in Piccadilly Circus, this August.
The museums are famous for displaying the ‘oddities in life’ and items on display in London will include a 27-inch hairball found inside a cow’s stomach and a 545-pound meteorite. The main attraction will be a four-metre long model of Tower Bridge, made solely of matchsticks. The items will be displayed across five storeys covering 25,000 square feet.
The company behind the venture, Florida-based Ripley Entertainment, currently operates 60 different attractions throughout the world, including 30 ‘odditorium’ museums, which collectively attract around 13 million visitors each year.
The attraction in the capital will be operated by London Bridge Entertainment Partners (LLP).
