Hard Days Night Hotel, a four-star Liverpool hotel featuring Beatles-themed artwork, is due to open in January 2008 to coincide with Liverpool’s year as European Capital of Culture.

The 20 million pound development will be situated in the ‘Beatles Quarter’ of Liverpool, on the corner of Matthew Street, which is only yards from the famous Cavern Club where the Beatles first rose to fame.

Set in a Grade II listed building, the hotel will feature 110-rooms, two restaurants and two bars and each guest bedroom and public room will contain specially commissioned artwork, telling the story of different moments in the Beatles’ history.

More than 100 pieces of artwork have been produced for the hotel by New Jersey-based artist Shannon, who has been described as ‘the world’s greatest Beatles artist’.

Group rates are currently being discussed; however details and telephone contacts have not yet been confirmed.
