Black Country funding
The Black Country Living Museum, in Dudley, has been awarded £1,164,300 of European Regional Development Funding, which will be put towards three of the museum’s biggest projects, due for completion in January.
The first project will see the reconstruction of two buildings from Hall Street, in Dudley, at the site – Hobbs Fish and Chip Shop and Minett’s Milliners.
The second project is the creation of a new vehicle restoration and period display unit, which will be used to display and care for the museum’s collection of cars and vehicles.
Thirdly, part of the money will be used to help create a new temporary exhibition area, which will house changing displays relating to the Black Country, its people and its industries.
