Dan Snow poses for publicity shots promoting the new downloads

Group members visting English Heritage property, Battle Abbey, in East Sussex, can now download a series of free video clips to their mobile phones via Bluetooth. These enable them to take a personal ‘virtual’ tour of the Battle of Hastings with TV historian Dan Snow.

The five short clips feature computer-generated graphics and film from the 2006 Battle of Hastings re-enactment at the site and explain each stage of the conflict.

They can be downloaded in the Battle Abbey shop, restaurant and visitor centre and saved to a mobile phone. Information and trouble shooting guides are available to help explain how to activate Bluetooth technology and how to carry out the download.
