Bodiam Castle exhibition
Bodiam Castle, near Robertsbridge in East Sussex, recently opened a new permanent exhibition, The Story of Bodiam, as part of its newly refurbished museum.
The new exhibition explores the whole history of the site, which dates back almost 8,000 years. It features an impressive archaeology collection stretching back to the Neolithic period, including a collection of Roman artefacts from the site as well as a range of displays and features looking at its heyday during the Middle Ages. These include information about people such as the eccentric Sir Edward Dalyngrigge, the opportunistic fortune hunter who built the present castle in 1385.
Groups are offered special rates on admission and can book a range of special interest tours looking at specific areas of the Castle’s past.
