Fountains spring to life at Springfields
New display fountains that mix water, motion and light have opened in the Festival Gardens at Springfields Outlet Shopping. Groups can see them in operation at three intervals during the day.
The fountains form part of Springfields’ £11 million expansion, which saw the opening of 16 new retail stores and a 43-bedroom hotel at the site this summer.
The £500,000 fountains are believed to be the first of their kind in the UK. Two musical fountains form the centrepiece for the display by creating illuminated water effects that move in time to music. Each of them stands in a 25-metre long pool, features 250 LED lights and shoots water more than nine-metres high.
Additionally, two more fountains feature, which use colour-changing LED lights and shoot jets of water up into the air.
Admission to the gardens is free; however, groups can arrange a guided tour for an additional fee.
