Helicopter Museum receives funding for expansion
Believed to be the largest museum dedicated to helicopters in the world, the Helicopter Museum in Weston-super-Mare received a £290,500 grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) this month, which will go towards new education facilities.
The new facilities will be located within a new 7,200 square foot space and will include a new 60-seat film theatre and classroom, where groups will be able to enjoy educational workshops on the history and restoration of the Museum’s collections.
There is no set date for completion; however, the Museum will remain open whilst work is carried out.
