London-based hotel, Andaz Liverpool Street, formerly the Great Eastern Hotel, will begin a refurbishment of its ‘1901’ bar/restaurant at the end of the month. The four-month project will entail new decor, soft furnishings and an improved bar area. Unlike traditional restaurants, groups dining in the establishment will receive a personalised experience with waiters creating cocktails at your table and an emphasis on educating diners about the food and wine featured on the menu.

The refurbishment forms part of a nine million pound re-development of the Victorian building, which re-opened in November. It is the first in a series of global hotels launched under the new Andaz brand, operated by Hyatt Hotels & Resorts. Group rates are available.
