Bournemouth Oceanarium's cove refurbishment
The Oceanarium Bournemouth unveiled the start of a year-long refurbishment programme recently with the improvement of the onsite Cove gift shop.
After a £25,000 investment, the gift shop has seen the removal of a wall separating the reception area of the Oceanarium and the Cove, creating a larger space for visitors to enter the attraction through.
New ceiling and floor tiles have been added and purpose-built display cabinets have been fitted to display temporary exhibitions.
Slatted wall panels have also been added to the gift shop to enable a greater range of products to be on display.
By the end of 2007, the Oceanarium Bournemouth will have completed a £200,000 refurbishment programme, improving a number of the attraction’s display tanks and interpretation boards, of which the gift shop is the first phase.
