Visitor attraction, Oxford Castle Unlocked, has announced a dramatic rise in pre-booked visitor numbers compared to the previous financial year, putting the increase down to the launch of its group offer last year.

The attraction opened in June 2006 and recorded pre-booked visitor numbers for the last financial year of nearly 4,000. The 2008/9 year has seen nearly 13,000 pre-booked visits to date, tripling the previous figure already.

The attraction counts pre-booked visitors as UK and foreign groups and schools and corporate bookings.

Currently groups are offered a package that includes discounted admission, priority ‘fast-track’ entry, free admission for GTOs and coach drivers, pre-booked catering and a dedicated coach drop off and pick up point next to the castle.
