Refurbished gardening museum set to re-open with new name
The Museum of Garden History, in London, has now closed and will re-open on 18th November under a new name, ‘The Garden Museum’.
The attraction is housed in a 14th century church building and, on re-opening, will feature a new gallery for temporary exhibitions and an area for education. The new spaces will allow items from the Museum’s collection to be displayed for the first time.
A retrospective of Beth Chatto, considered to be one of Britain’s most influential gardeners, will be the first exhibition to feature in the new gallery when it opens.
During the closure of the Museum, its garden will remain open, as will the Garden Cafe.
