Royal Arsenal group package

The Royal Arsenal in Woolwich is offering a new group package that combines a visit to the Greenwich Heritage Centre and Firepower – The Royal Artillery Museum with a two course buffet lunch, refreshments and afternoon cream tea.

The package begins with a trip to the Greenwich Heritage Centre, where groups can explore the 400 year history of the Royal Arsenal, a site which was once a global centre for munitions manufacture. Films, information panels and audio accounts tell the story of the Arsenal and give visitors an insight into the lives of the people who worked and lived on the site.

Groups can then enter the Royal Arsenal which is the base for Firepower – The Royal Artillery Museum and enjoy lunch and refreshments. An hour’s guided tour of the Museum follows this, which showcases 700 years of artillery history through information panels, audio-visual presentations and a world-class display of artillery. Visitors can also experience the Field of Fire show where artillery and life size figures are brought to life using light and sound, literally shaking the suspended floor.

The day ends with afternoon cream tea at Firepower and a visit to the Museum shop.
