Organisers plannning a group visit to Tamworth Castle in Staffordshire can now take advantage of a special tour package.

A guide in period costume will lead groups of 12 or more through 900 years of history, bringing the castle’s colourful history to life with tales of past owners and ghostly legends. Visitors will also have the opportunity to discover the weight and feel of weapons, armour and costumes.

Tours last approximately 90 minutes and include a cup of tea or coffee and a slice of cake.

The castle also runs evening events available for exclusive group bookings. These include Murder Mystery nights, Medieval Banquets and Ghost Searches, including vigils in reputedly haunted rooms.
