Work has now begun on a new butterfly and moth exhibit at Bristol Zoo Gardens, due to open by the end of May.

The undercover walk-through exhibit, which as yet is unnamed, will be themed on a tropical rainforest and will also be surrounded by a newly landscaped Nectar Garden, designed to attract native butterflies and moths.

Species on display at the Zoo will include the Blue Morpho, Glasswing and Leopard Lacewing butterflies, as well as the Giant Atlas, Indian Moon and Death’s Head Hawk moths.

Groups visiting the Zoo will also be able to learn more about the conservation of rare invertebrate species and their habitats in a series of free
on-site talks.

Group rates are available for 10 or more people.
