Guided tours in Philadelphia launched
Gophila, the tourism body for the city of Philadelphia in Pennsylvania, has launched six new exclusive guided tours for groups collectively called ‘Philadelphia: Where You’re at Liberty to Be Experiential Tours’.
Options include a tour that follows a cultural vein and takes groups to the Rosenbach Museum and Library, where the original illustrations for Lewis Carroll’s children’s book ‘Alice in Wonderland’ can be seen in addition to Bram Stoker’s handwritten notes for his classic novel ‘Dracula’.
For a spot of politics, groups can enjoy a guided tour of the National Constitution Center, where they will learn about the USA’s judicial system by taking part in a re-enacted court case alongside live actors.
Alternatively, groups can choose the ‘Headed to the White House’ option at the National Constitution Center, where your members will be required to think up a presidential campaign before taking part in mock presidential elections.
Elsewhere in the city, groups can take a behind-the-scenes tour of the Eastern State Penitentiary, the former state prison.
Guided tours are offered for a small charge and must be pre-booked.
