Luxury resort for Maryland

The fourth Gaylord Resort and Convention Center is under construction on the banks of the Potomac River in Prince George’s County, Maryland.

At 60 metres high and covering 41 acres of land, visitors to the Resort will be treated to panoramic views of Washington D.C. and Old Town Alexandria in Virginia.

The Resort will feature 2,000 luxury guestrooms and a one and a half-acre glass-covered atrium housing a variety of tropical plants

It is the flagship property of the 300-acre National Harbor waterfront development, a destination that will incorporate a marina, restaurants and shops.

The Resort is set to open in April 2008, which will coincide with the opening of the National Harbor Waterfront and will be the newest addition to Gaylord Hotels, who currently owns properties in Nashville, Texas and Florida.

Groups booking 10 or more hotel rooms will receive discounts.
