NYC’s USS Intrepid re-opens
This November will see the re-opening of Manhattan’s Intrepid Sea Air and Space Museum.
The Museum, situated on the Hudson River Park Pier 86, is housed on an Essex Class aircraft carrier, USS Intrepid, which saw action in both WWII and the Vietnam War. Onboard, your group can see 30 historic aircraft, including one of the remaining British Airways Concordes. From here, you can also go aboard the Growler Submarine, which is moored alongside.
The restoration has seen Pier 86 undergo a complete renovation as well as extensive conservation work undertaken on the aircraft. It has also seen the addition of new exhibitions looking at the history of the vessel.
Group guided tours, pre-booked meals and discounts are available.
