Shape up America
The end of last year saw the opening of a new exhibition at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum in Boston, ‘Shaping Up America and the Call to Physical Fitness’, which will run until autumn 2008.
The exhibition focuses on the former President’s personal fitness regime, displaying various items including his golf equipment, and changing attitudes towards physical fitness in the US, highlighted during the 1960s when being fit was briefly seen as a necessity.
The Library and Museum also offers a wide range of permanent exhibits which focus on the life of JFK and a discount for groups of over 12 people.
