Shopping and culture in Arizona

Scottsdale, in Arizona, has announced the expected completion of two 1.5 million pound developments in early 2008.

The first project will see the opening of the Scottsdale Waterfront complex in the city’s main shopping district, which runs alongside the Arizona Canal, originally built by Native Americans centuries before Europeans arrived in the area.

The complex will feature canalside walkways, a variety of independent restaurants and a wide range of boutiques and upmarket stores.

The second project, the SouthBridge complex, will also offer upmarket independent stores and boutiques, as well as performing arts venues and will also be located in the city centre.
