Deccommissioned space shuttles at the Kennedy Space Centre Visitor Complex

The Kennedy Space Centre Visitor Complex, near Orlando in Florida, has announced an addition to its group options that now allows groups to pre-book rides on the Shuttle Launch Experience, the 30 million dollar space shuttle simulator that opened in May last year.

The new simulator, which was previously closed to group bookings, uses multiple video screens, audio effects and a motion platform to recreate the sensations of being aboard a shuttle blasting into outer-space.

Groups visiting the Centre are also offered a range of guided tours that include ‘Cape Canaveral: Then and Now’, which explores the history of the US Space Programme up to the modern day.
