The University of Birmingham’s stand at this year’s show will provide plenty of information for GTOs about its ongoing programme of refurbishment on its 450 existing rooms and the extra 880 ensuite bedrooms it will be adding in 2009.

The University’s accommodation is situated in its own grounds two miles outside the city centre and it offers groups discounts on reservations depending upon numbers and length of stay. Various packages are available at the site including self-catering and full or half-board accommodation.

Groups staying at the university are offered on-site facilities such as a 24 hour reception as well as a gymnasium and sauna. At the site, groups can also visit the University’s art gallery – The Barber Institute of Fine Art – and the Winterbourne Botanic Gardens.
