London calling

New London, the group that represents four major London attractions and areas; Bankside, Southwark, East London and London Bridge, will be returning to Excursions 2008 with a focus on the hand-over of the Olympics from Beijing to London later in the year and the subsequent events and attractions that will follow.

GTOs visiting the stand will be able to learn more about the Cultural Olympiad, the term used for the four year build-up to the games, which will include a major enlargement of the Tate Modern’s exhibition space, allowing it to exhibit art illustrating the full breadth of the 20th century.

Staff at the stand will also be promoting the Docklands Light Railway, which will open a new station in Woolwich in 2009.
