Seafaring tales
Maritime Greenwich will be adding a nautical theme to Excursions 2008’s ‘Heritage Britain’ section.
The organisation, which represents many of Greenwichs most popular visitor attractions such as the Cutty Sark, the National Maritime Museum and the Queen’s House, will be eager to meet GTOs and discuss everything on offer for groups at these attractions and other issues, such as travel to the area and accommodation.
There have been many changes in Greenwich, which representatives on the stand will also be promoting, such as the visitor centre at the Cutty Sark, which now informs visitors about plans for the ship’s restoration after the much publicised fire earlier this year, and the Peter Harrison Planetarium, which may be unfamiliar to some GTOs, having only opened this spring.
As well as this, literature on group visits to attractions in the area will be available.
