Tales of change for Canterbury pilgrims

Canterbury's ancient Cathedral
Canterbury’s ancient Cathedral

Focusing on developments and changes over the last year, representatives from Canterbury Cathedral, Canterbury Tales Visitor Attraction and the city’s Tourism Unit will be at the upcoming Excursions in January.

Representatives from Canterbury Cathedral will be promoting two big changes for groups that have taken place at the attraction since the 2007 fair; the addition of pre-booked ‘behind the scenes’ group tours, which take in areas usually closed to the public, and the opening of Canterbury Cathedral Lodge. Located in the grounds of the Cathedral, the Lodge offers a range of group accommodation and discounts.

Meanwhile, staff from the Canterbury Tales Visitor Attraction will be focusing on its range of group events, such as pre-booked meals with entertainment, incorporating some of Chaucer’s bawdier tales.

Lastly, representatives from the city’s Tourism Unit will be on hand to answer any questions GTOs may have about visiting the city.
