Excursions show preview
GTOs seeking new and exciting ideas for day trips and short breaks will find inspiration at the annual Excursions show, which will take place again on 17th January next year. A collection of attractions, destinations, tour operators and transport and accommodation providers will be on hand to give personal and informed advice to visitors.
The one-day group travel fair will take place, once more, at Alexandra Palace, in London, with more than 150 exhibitors from the UK and mainland Europe expected to take part in the free-entry show.
GTOs from outside the capital will be offered free coach travel on the day with pick-ups planned from 21 major towns, as well as selected main line railway stations.
The event is jointly organised by Group Travel Organiser magazine and Tourism South East and is supported by Visit London and East of England Tourism with the Yorkshire Tourist Board also on board for 2009.
New developments in Maritime Greenwich
The Maritime Greenwich World Heritage site, in London, will be exhibiting at Alexandra Palace where staff will be updating GTOs on new developments.
