News from Beamish

GTOs visiting Beamish – the North of England Open Air Museum’s stand in Bolton, can find out about the new replica 1913 lamp cabin that is due to open in spring 2008.

The building will house the County Durham-based Museum’s period lamp collection and historic mining items and will stand at the entrance to the site’s real drift mine.

Visitors can also learn about riding on a new vintage-style bus and audio-visual panels that have been installed at tram stops, giving disabled visitors information about exhibits with limited access.
