Kentish trips

The Port Lympne Fair next February will feature a stand manned by Kent Tourism Alliance, the body that represents Kent’s tourism industry. The Alliance’s new themes for 2008 such as ‘The Other Boleyn Girl’, inspired by the film of the same name, will be promoted at the event. This campaign focuses on Kentish attractions associated with Anne Boleyn’s sister, Mary, including her former Kent home Hever Castle.

Staff at the stand will also be highlighting the county’s events calendar for 2008 which includes the annual arts festival, the Folkestone Triennale.

Other Kentish attractions about which group organisers will be able to get more information include Canterbury Cathedral, the nearby Canterbury Tales visitor attraction, which explores the 14th century works of Geoffrey Chaucer and Chartwell near Westerham, the former country home of Winston Churchill .

Guides and brochures about the area will also be available.
