A first visit to Scotland
Group organiser Pam Sells recently took a group of 27 members of the British Legion Holbeach Womens Section from Lincolnshire away on an eight-day holiday to Scotland for the first time. “We have two holidays away a year, one in March and one in October,” explains Pam. “I booked the break through Cornwall-based Della Holidays, a company I have been using for at least five or six years now, but this was our first visit to Scotland.”
The group stayed at the Best Western Winnock Hotel in Drymen, near Loch Lomond and Pam comments, “It was very good, the staff were wonderful and it obviously had a good reputation as lots of people we spoke to in the area seemed to know about it.”
During the holiday, the group passed their days visiting attractions such as the Falkirk Wheel and Loch Lomond. Pam says, “The Falkirk Wheel was absolutely marvellous and we also stopped off in the village of Luss for an ice cream! I have always found Della Holidays absolutely fine for arranging my holidays – I tell them where I want to go and they do the rest.”
